This is the website of the Classics Department at FHS. Classics is a busy department at Francis Holland School, which is at Clarence Gate near Regent's Park, London. Students learn Latin from Year 7 to 13, Greek from Year 9 to 13, and Classical Civilisation from Year 10 to 13. Outside of the classroom, there's always something classical going on: a trip to the Bay of Naples or to Rome, or an archaeological dig to Hadrian's Wall, or experimental archaeology by growing and processing woad, or lectures and conferences for our students and students from other schools.

Take a browse through the links section to see just how much is out there for classicists, and for some online research, even if a proper library, with proper books is always much better. If you're considering Classics, a combined course with Classics, or a related classical subject in higher education, browse the university section for the Classics Departments at UK universities

Teachers! Make use of the staffroom section for specifications and downloadable resources. Upload your own resources to share with other teachers!
