09 August – 3rd September 2017
Wednesday to Sundays. 6pm – 10pm

The free theatre season in The Scoop is back as part of the London Bridge City Summer Festival – offering 40,000 free theatre tickets for great theatre within the heart of London.

Ancient Greece’s greatest epic story The Odyssey comes to London this summer as a thrilling 3-part open-air theatre experience played out in The Scoop amphitheatre overlooking Tower Bridge – and it’s completely free!

In the stunning amphitheatre on the banks of the River Thames, London’s Free Open Air Theatre Season returns to its critically acclaimed classical roots for a 15th year, with a reimagining of one of the world’s greatest adventure stories – The Odyssey.

A three-hour, three-part story led with monstrous creatures and battles on and off the high seas, each part will be a story within itself, and can be enjoyed individually. Alternatively audiences can experience the whole of Odysseus’ journey across one fantastical evening or over several visits. And there’s no need to book – just turn up and take a seat! There’s room for 1,000 people at every performance.
