Due to popular demand, the deadline for submitting entries to the 2019 Artefact to Art competition has been extended. The new deadline is now Wednesday 17th April.
The Artefact to Art competition, now in its second year, encourages children to engage creatively with antiquity. Stories, poems, and pieces of visual art around the theme of Roman Britain can be entered under the following three age groups: under 11, 11-14, and 15-18. For more details and to download the entry form, please see our website: https://le.ac.uk/archaeology/outreach/artefact-to-art. Please send the completed form, along with the entry (or a photograph of it if it is a visual piece of art) to email@example.com. We look forward to receiving them!
Selected pieces from the competition will be exhibited at the CA conference, which this year will be run jointly as the CA-FIEC in London on 5-8th July http://www.fiec2019.org/artefact-to-art-childrens-art-inspired-by-antiquity/. We hope that you join us to view the creative works of our young artists there!
