From the Council of University Classics Departments….
The Council of University Classics Departments (CUCD) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is conducting an online survey to find out more about classicists’ experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. The survey is aimed at classicists of all types, including students, academics and school teachers, and will be used to support and improve equality and diversity in Classics.
The survey should take less than half an hour to fill out, and is available at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WSWYWC8. The survey will be open until the 15th of November.
Respondents will remain anonymous, and all data will be anonymised where necessary. We intend to create an openly accessible online archive of pandemic stories, and to produce a report based on the findings from the data. The project is led by Elena Giusti, Jennifer Ingleheart, Victoria Leonard and myself, on behalf of the CUCD-EDI committee. It follows the CUCD’s earlier survey on equality and diversity, more information on which can be found here: https://cucd.blogs.sas.ac.uk/equality-and-diversity/.
If you have any queries, please email CUCDequality@gmail.com. More information about the CUCD-EDI Committee can be found at https://cucdedi.wordpress.com/. Please see below for more information on data security and anonymity.
We are very grateful to you for taking the time to respond.
