Dear all,
My name is Charlie Nicholls and I am a team leader for a CPD Fellowship which is happening in Bangalore, India this August. We are recruiting teachers who are keen to develop their own CPD but also who would like to explore another culture during their summer holidays.
I was on the Fellowship last year and I had an amazing time. It was incredibly interesting to learn about another education system and to work with teachers who approach education from such a different perspective. I learnt so much and returned to school re-energised and keen to start the school year.
I also really enjoyed getting to know teachers from other schools and discussing teacher issues and strategies with them. Alongside the CPD, we also explored the local area, eating at lots of different restaurants, going to the markets and experiencing Indian culture through Bollywood films and cookery classes. We also went further afield and I really enjoyed visiting Mysore and Goa, as well as going to the sites in Bangalore.
