EMACT Latin Reading Competition

This year, due to COVID, the popular annual Latin reading competition will take place virtually. There are two big changes as a result. Firstly, you will have to enter as an individual: there will be no group entry. Secondly, you need to record yourself (voice only), as there will not be an in-person event. Note: Video recordings will not be accepted.

NOVICE
Please record yourself reading the story Grumio et leo. You can find this on p.47 of Cambridge Latin Course Book 1, Stage 4, or follow this link. Maximum of three entries per school.

JUNIOR
Please record yourself reading the story coniuratio. You can find this on p.7 of Cambridge Latin Course Book 2, Stage 13, or follow this link.

Maximum of two entries per school.

There are Gold (£20 book token), Silver (£15 book token) and Bronze (£10 book token) prizes in each category. Book tokens will be posted to the schools of winning participants.

The deadline for entries is Friday 28 May 2021, 4pm.
