DESCRIPTION:Reading Classical Greek – a weekend course from 16–18 May \nThis series of weekend courses is for those who want to learn Classical Greek. The Beginners’ levels are based on Reading Greek (CUP) (i) Grammar\, Vocabulary and Exercises (ii) Text. Over a series of weekend courses\, students are introduced to the basic elements of grammar through reading passages adapted from ancient Greek authors. At Intermediate level\, students move onto collections of passages selected from major Greek writers\, and finally\, in the Advanced groups\, students read what they choose from the whole of Greek literature. \nPlease note that students who wish to begin studying Greek must attend the November course\, as this is the only weekend suitable for complete beginners. \nVisit www.ice.cam.ac.uk/maygreek \nOur weekend courses begin with dinner on Friday and end after lunch the following Sunday.
