DESCRIPTION:Classical Association Teaching Board INSET day on A-level Classical Civilisation (Business School\, Manchester Metropolitan University\, 10 am – 4pm\, Saturday 18th February) \nAQA’s decision to discontinue Classical Civilisation at A-level means that OCR is now the sole examination board offering the subject. \nOCR has produced revised specifications for the qualification\, which will be taught from September 2017; they are available here:\nhttp://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/315133-specification-accredited-a-level-classical-civilisation-h408.pdf \nTeachers in schools and colleges across the UK have made it clear to the CATB that there is a need for training in the form of subject-specific talks and workshops on the specifications. The CATB has stepped up to the mark to offer an INSET day for teachers of Classical Civilisation at A-level. \nWorkshops and talks will be offered by academics with expertise in areas of the specifications and by experienced schoolteachers; OCR will be contributing to the event.
