SUMMARY:Swansea Summer School in Ancient Languages
DESCRIPTION:Saturday 12 July 2019 to Saturday 25 July 2019. \nWe will be running classes in Ancient Greek (Beginners\, Intermediate and Advanced) and Latin (Beginners\, Intermediate and Advanced) \nEarly bird rate: Register before the end of Friday 28 February 2020 and pay £150 for one week’s tuition or £300 for two weeks. After that date\, tuition for one week is £180 and for two weeks £350. Please note that the Summer School this year is not residential. SUMMARY:Birmingham Classical and Byzantine Greek Summer School
DESCRIPTION:The Birmingham Classical and Byzantine Greek Summer School (bursaries specifically for teachers available)\n\n \n\nThe Department of Classics and the Centre for Byzantine\, Ottoman and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Birmingham are delighted to announce The Classical and Byzantine Greek Summer School\, which will take place from 12 July to 8 August 2020. This Summer School offers participants the opportunity to study either Classical or Byzantine/Medieval Greek at all levels (beginners\, intermediate\, advanced).\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\nThe courses will take place on the beautiful Edgbaston Campus\, and affordable accommodation is available within walking distance. The course is aimed at undergraduate students\, postgraduate students\, postdoctoral researchers and at teachers who wish to learn Ancient Greek or improve existing skills. As well as intensive tuition over up to four weeks\, the summer school offers a range of workshops and evening lectures\, and opportunities to work with the outstanding collections of ancient artefacts and coins housed in the Archaeology Museum\, and at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts.\n\n \n\nThe deadline for applications is 29 MAY 2020.
