SUMMARY:CfA Teachers' Day: Sources and Resources
DESCRIPTION:From Classics for All…\n\n \n\nhttps://cfawestmidlands.com/upcoming-events?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR1IoXfTMxlFhqIdOL26qiWcSqyd6wgOGbw4-k7xdnWl-lrOeB_n2zt9Wr8_aem_AReurBA5kqJZ7GG_Y38P2RxllHqfeYbk9Tu3MdblyHYvVf4ZpfI_9Kn0QZAeUhQXn3TzgRbY9cgOs2ToUR3ENwcp\n\n \n\nPlease join us at the University of Birmingham on Saturday the 15th of June for our annual Teachers’ Day!\n\n \n\nWe’ve titled the event ‘Sources and Resources’\, and we’re hoping that it will be a really helpful opportunity for primary and secondary teachers alike. As you’ll see from the attached timetable\, there are some sessions which are aimed primarily at primary or secondary teachers\, but then there are also sessions (such as teaching with ancient objects for instance) which can be useful for everyone.*Please note that you do not have to be a member of the BMCA to attend\, and those who are running Latin/ Classics clubs off curriculum are equally as welcome!*A few of highlights of the day…\n\n \n\n Charlie Andrew\, creator of Max Classics (any much more) will be attending\, and there will be lots of time to chat with her.\n \n Alex Orgee\, the OCR Classics Subject Advisor\, will be one of our plenary speakers.\n \n Dr Emma Southon will be giving our final plenary\, and her talk will be related to her most recent book – A History of the Roman Empire in 21 Women.\n\n \n\nWe’re hoping that the timing of the day at the end of the academic year will provide everyone with an opportunity to share their thoughts on this year\, and to get some tips\, new resources\, and general inspiration for after the summer! And of course\, a lovely opportunity to meet other Latin/ Classics teachers and perhaps forge some connections.
