DESCRIPTION:Hands Up Education’s Summer Conference\, Saturday 22 June\nWe are delighted to again be hosting our annual summer conference for Classics teachers at the Museum of London (London Wall)\, on Saturday the 22nd of June\, from 10am – 4pm. \nWe’ve got a packed programme with practical and inspiring sessions for teachers of Classics at KS3 and KS4\, including: \n\nA beginner’s introduction to Suburani\nDigital support for Suburani\nSuburani Book 3: a beautiful theme-based introduction to literature\nUsing images in the Latin classroom\nTeaching ‘The City of Rome’: support and ideas for Eduqas Paper 3B\nFocus on: Suburani Chapters 11 to 16 – top teaching tips and ideas\nTeaching Roman imperialism through characters and culture\nWhat is Latin metre? An introduction for complete beginners\nFocus on: verbs – using the Suburani verb trainer to improve student confidence\n\nAs well as a thought-provoking plenary session by Dr Ersin Hussain (Swansea University) on Life in the Roman Countryside. \nDate: Saturday 22nd June 2024 \nLocation: Museum of London\, EC2Y 5HN \nTiming: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nCost: £49.00 for teachers; £25 for PGCE and ITT students.
