SUMMARY:JACT Durham Greek & Latin Summer School 2024
DESCRIPTION:The 30th JACT Durham Greek & Latin Summer School will take place from Saturday 20th – Saturday 27th July 2024 at St John’s College\, Durham.\n\n \n\nThey offer courses at six levels in both languages. (see Course Offered) from beginners to advanced\, with our highly qualified and experienced tutors from schools and universities.\n\n \n\nStudents have 18 hours of tuition for which they are expected to prepare in the time available for private study. They work hard\, but also have time for relaxation and optional visits to Hadrian’s Wall\, the cathedral and other local places of interest. In the evenings they have lectures on a wide range of classical topics from visiting speakers. In the afternoons they have optional sessions which might include grammar clinics\, lectures or discussions. On the first night\, they meet our teaching groups by teaming up with them to participate in a classical quiz.
