DESCRIPTION:Classics in West Midlands Primary Schools \nBirmingham and West Midlands Schools Classics Hub Free Event \nWednesday 3rd October\, 1pm-4pm \nVenue: The University of Birmingham\, Edgbaston\, B15 2TT \nThe Birmingham and West Midlands Schools Classics Hub welcome teachers and pupils in Years 5 and 6 from the region’s state primary schools to spend a fun afternoon exploring the ancient world. \nPupils will learn some Latin\, take part in a myth and storytelling workshop\, and get creative with ancient arts and crafts. \nThere will also be a CPD workshop for teachers to think about how Classics can enrich the busy curriculum at Key Stage 2\, as well as information about the resources\, training\, and funding available for primary teachers through Classics for All. \nPlease share across your feeder schools and Primary School colleagues. \nFor more information and/or to book a place\, please email Polly Stoker: p.stoker@bham.ac.uk by 16th July. Numbers may need to be capped\, so please let us know how many children you would like to bring so that we can ensure spaces. \n
