Y11 pupils who are interested in extending their knowledge and considering studying the relevant subjects at A level are also welcome.\n\n \n\nDate: Friday 16th September\n\n \n\nTime: 10.00 am – 15.00 pm\n\n \n\nStudents will have the opportunity to visit the Feminine Power: The divine to the demonic exhibition during the school exclusive morning session between 10.00 and 12.00.\n\n \n\nSpeakers include:\n\n \n\nVicky Donellan\, British Museum; Women in the Trojan War\n\n \n\nAmy Smith\, Reading University; Exploring the role of women in Ancient Greek festivals through studying late black-figure Athenian pottery.\n\n \n\nRachel Mairs\, Reading University; Cleopatra: representations of powerful queens.\n\n \n\nShushma Malik\, Roehampton University; Agrippina the Younger and the women of Rome: imperial and domestic roles in Roman society\n\n \n\nFull programme details to be published on the British Museum website\n\n \n\nStudents must be accompanied by a member of school staff.
