Inaugural Classics Christmas Lecture and Parthenon Cast Unveiling

You are warmly invited to an evening celebrating all things Classical at the unveiling of Surbiton High School’s Parthenon frieze casts, restored by the hard fundraising efforts of the Sixth Form Classical Society.

Professor Edith Hall will be delivering the inaugural lecture to commemorate this most special event, where we celebrate restoring the ink-spattered and overlooked casts into a more prominent position in the school. The idea is to make them available to the local community and celebrate our rich classical history.

Friday 14th December 2018

Doors open 6pm.  Main lecture 7.30pm.  Doors close 10pm.

Surbiton High School Assembly Rooms, 138 Maple Road, Surbiton, Surrey, KT6 4RT

Attendance is free. All money raised after restoration will be donated to Classics for All.

School groups most welcome! There are activities for younger children, so bring the kids along too! It promises to be a family-friendly and entertaining affair.
