Would you like work in an environment where the pupils are actively engaged, want to learn and with minimum disruption in lessons? This is an exciting opportunity to join our popular and academically successful Classics faculty in which our outstanding examination results reflect an engaging curriculum experience and a real commitment to teaching and learning.

Due to increased pupil numbers next academic year, we are looking for an enthusiastic and energising Latin Teacher (NQT or experienced) with a real drive and enthusiasm for the subject together with the motivation and subject knowledge to be able to challenge and inspire. The successful candidate must be a team player and will be expected to take an active involvement in the department and in school life in general. The ability to teach Latin up to KS5 is essential.

Bishop Wordsworth’s School is a unique school in a unique place where we fuel pupils’ wider intellectual curiosity, extending their knowledge and understanding beyond the narrow confines of exam syllabi with the aim to engender a passion for learning together with the skills required to pursue that passion independently.

We will offer you:

  • A comprehensive program of CPD
  • The support of a highly experienced Head of Department
  • Well-motivated and able students
  • Engaging curriculum experience
  • Extra-curricular and international trips and visits
  • Access to onsite sport facilities
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Teachers’ Pension Scheme
