TEACHER OF CLASSICS

Part-time (approximately 0.3 – 0.4), permanent position from January 2021

We seek to appoint a skilled and passionate Teacher of Classics to join this dynamic and energetic department from January 2021. Enthusiasm for the subject amongst pupils is strong and results are excellent.

The successful applicant will be a committed and innovative teacher of Classics with outstanding subject knowledge, and a willingness to participate in all aspects of school life. The applicant must be able to teach Latin from Year 7 to A level and have the willingness to adapt to curriculum changes. The ability to teach the Greek Art component of A level Classical Civilisation would be valued as well. This busy and growing department runs many internal events and trips to museums and ancient sites (e.g. to the Athens and Sicily, to the British Museum and to performances of Greek drama) so an enthusiasm for enriching pupils’ education is also important.

Francis Holland Schools Trust has its own very generous salary scale and benefits.
