Full time, permanent position from September 2021

We seek to appoint a skilled and passionate Teacher of Classics to join this dynamic and energetic department from September 2021. Enthusiasm for the subject amongst pupils is strong and results are excellent.

The successful applicant will be a committed and innovative teacher of Classics with outstanding subject knowledge, and a willingness to participate in all aspects of school life. The applicant must be able to teach Latin from Year 7 to A level and Classical Civilisation at GCSE and A level. They should have the willingness to adapt to curriculum changes and help to implement the growth and evolution of a department that aims to keep Classics relevant for modern pupils. The ability to teach GCSE Classical Greek would be valued. This busy and growing department runs many internal events and trips to museums and ancient sites (e.g. to Athens and Sicily, to the British Museum and to performances of Greek drama) so an enthusiasm for enriching pupils’ education is also important.

Francis Holland Schools Trust has its own very generous salary scale and benefits.
