Teacher of Classics
Competitive salary plus benefits
Required for January 2022 or as soon as possible
This is an exceptional opportunity for a first-rate Classicist to join an outstanding, ambitious and forward-looking department in a school where enquiry into the ancient world and its languages is held in the highest esteem.
The Teacher of Classics has a commitment to teaching Latin from Year 7 to Year 9, Latin at GCSE and AS/A Level and Classical Civilisation. You will also assist the Head of Classics with preparing students for university applications and promote and deliver a lively co-curricular programme.
Classics is a popular subject at Streatham & Clapham High School. Pupils participate in a number of Classics trips and competitions throughout the year and a busy schedule of trips and lectures is provided for all years.
If you are a well-qualified graduate with qualified teacher status (or are working towards this) or have equivalent experience, we would love to hear from you. The ability to deliver Classical Greek would be an advantage but is not essential.
