News of a kickstarter project…
I came across The Classics Library via twitter and wanted to reach out – as a former Classics major it’s always nice to see my favorite subject thrive (which it really seems to on twitter)!
I am writing in regards to a project I’ve been working on for some time, my graphic novel series Kid Beowulf. Inspired by the epic poem Beowulf, Kid Beowulf follows the adventures of twin brothers, Beowulf and Grendel as they travel across the world and meet fellow epic heroes therein. Their latest adventure takes them to ancient Italy where they meet another pair of twins: Romulus and Remus. Titled the “Tarpeian Rock” this adventure deals with some of the foundation stories of Rome (affectionately mashed up within my own series).
I’ve launched a kickstarter for the book and am spreading the word to those who might be interested. I’ve shared my work with many medievalists who have given it a thumbs up and now I’m reaching out to Classicists for their blessing as well.
With that in mind, I am attaching a preview of the newest book. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to share it with any other Classics colleagues. I’m happy to send along other chapters too if requested.
And if you see me chat up the kickstarter during this month on twitter or social media please consider spreading the word there too. Every little bit helps.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
