Primary Latin Trainers Needed
Classics for All is a charity that supports the introduction and development of Classics in state schools across the UK, at both primary and secondary level. Our main form of support is through training non-specialists within a school to teach Classics. Because our school numbers are increasing quite rapidly, we need to increase our number of trainers across the UK.
We are therefore looking for expressions of interest from experienced Classics teachers who would like to support the training of our teachers in schools, and we are particularly keen to develop our Primary Latin Trainers across the UK.
What we are looking for in a trainer:
Essential skills:
- Latin Knowledge
- Teaching Experience
- Knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
Desirable skills:
- Primary Teaching Experience
- Working knowledge of Primary Latin courses
- Mentoring/Training Experience
For information about how our training works, please see our FAQs about Training for Schools.
If you are interested in this, please submit a CV and a short covering email to , FAO Anna Bell, Grants, Network and Training Coordinator for CfA. Training and support would be offered to those selected.
If you would like to find out more about training with CfA, and what is involved and how it works, before submitting your CV, please email . I would be happy to have a brief Teams meeting with you to discuss any questions you might have and talk you through the process.
