JACT Greek and Latin Summer School, Durham

St John’s College, University of Durham, 18th – 25th July 2015

This JACT summer school is for all ages over 16, from sixth form students to lifelong learners. With accommodation in an extremely attractive college very close to the cathedral, we enjoy working hard in a delightful environment. Early application is advised for one of the 38 en suite rooms (for an extra £12 per night).

Courses will be offered in either Latin or Greek at five levels from beginners to advanced with three one-hour sessions each day. At advanced and upper intermediate levels there is an option to read a text in each language. In the evenings there will be lectures and other events, and there will be optional afternoon classes on various topics such as grammar or metre, as well as a trip to Hadrian’s Wall and opportunities to visit other local attractions.

We are likely to be able to offer a number of bursaries thanks to the subsidies from our sponsors.
