Latin Literature Conference, Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park

2 February 2017 - 3 February 2017
£10

News of this year’s FHS Conference…

As usual, Francis Holland School, Regents Park, is running its annual AS Level Latin Conference. This year, we may not all be studying the same texts, but we hope that this day will still be extremely useful for those studying the new A Level in the Lower Sixth. The school is situated very near to Marylebone and Baker Street stations, making it relatively easy to reach for groups coming from all over the country.

We will be holding our conference on Friday, 3rd February, 2017, with two guest speakers attending:

Virgil, Aeneid VIII – Prof Matthew Leigh, St Anne’s, Oxford (am)

Cicero, pro Milone – Prof Gregory Hutchinson, Christ Church, Oxford (pm)

The conference will run from 10am-3pm, with time for refreshments from 9:45am.  Refreshments will also be provided for a morning break, and there will be time for you to take your pupils off-site for a lunch in a nearby café. The cost of the day will be £10 per pupil attending.

We hope many of you will be able to come this year for what looks to be an excellent day. If you wish to come, please reply with the number of pupils you are bringing to Mrs Jeannie Cohen at . If you wish to come only for morning or afternoon, please specify in your email.
