Introducing Ancient Greek – a free information afternoon for secondary teachers

In partnership with Edgbaston High School for Girls and the Birmingham and Midlands Schools’ Classics Hub, Classics for All is running a FREE information afternoon for secondary school teachers in the maintained sector who are interested in exploring how Ancient Greek can be used to enrich the curriculum.

During the session, there will be opportunities to:

• Explore the value of Ancient Greek in the curriculum and discuss ways in which the study of Greek language and culture can be introduced into schools (either as a club or on the timetable);
• Learn more about the funding and support available through Classics for All’s Electra Programme;
• Explore the teaching resources, text books and materials available to support Greek in schools;
• Observe a Greek lesson.
