19 February 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Claire will be delivering a lecture using material from her recently published book “Shopping in Ancient Rome: the Retail Trade in the Late Republic and the Principate” which explores the diverse means by which goods were distributed in Rome. From fixed shops and workshops based in tabernae, to permanent and periodic markets, fairs, auction sales, street sellers, and ambulant vendors.
The Lecture should hopefully be appealing to all studying Ancient Rome and everyone welcome. Please send an email to: lscashmore@kings-taunton.co.uk to provide an idea of numbers. Light refreshments will be provided.
