GCSE Classical Civilisation CPD on Women in the Ancient World
Monday 10th July, 4 – 6pm

The CPD will take place at Harris Science Academy East London, The Clock Mill, Three Mill Ln, London E3 3DU, and is aimed at GCSE Classical Civilisation teachers, but could also be useful to teachers of A Level Classical Civilisation and Ancient History where the topics of talks are relevant to modules in those subjects.  Please see below for the schedule for the evening.

4.00                     Welcome (Anna Bell, Sam Anderson)
4.05-4.35            Dr Ellie Mackin Roberts: Women in State Religion in Athens + questions
4.45                      Tea break
5.00                     Classics at King’s College London (Dominic Rathbone)
5.10-5.40            Professor Henrik Mouritsen: Women in the Late Republic: Ideal and Reality + questions
5.50                     General discussion
6.00                     Close

It would be very useful to us, in preparing for the CPD, if you could send in a couple of questions for the speakers, so they can make sure their talks are relevant to what you would like to know.  If you are interested in attending, please register via this form, where you can include questions for the speakers.  If you are interested in the CPD, but unable to attend, please note that the first talk will most likely be recorded, but the second one will not be.  The recording of the first talk will be circulated after the event once it is available.
