Pompeii Live, and the Museum of Archaeology at Cambridge

This is a one-off cinematic event run by the BM but screened through cinemas across the county, so that people who can’t make it to London – or who can’t get tickets, which is certainly proving increasingly difficult – can get an insider’s view of the exhibition, with various experts on hand (Mary Beard, Bettany Hughes etc etc).
There are actually two events: one on Tuesday June 18th @7pm for adults (appropriate for GCSE and A level students) and one on Wednesday June 19th @11am for KS2 students. Information, including which cinemas are holding screenings, is available through the BM here:

Some places have already sold out, others have plenty of tickets left.
The Museum of Classical Archaeology in Cambridge will be collaborating with their local Cineworld, bringing down some objects which they don’t normally have on display to the Tuesday showing, and creating some teachers’s packs and other materials to take to the Wednesday one. Then all of this will be turned into a temporary exhibition in the Museum.
