From The Classical Association…
We’re delighted to be working with Harrow School to host this in-person Ancient History CPD day on 27 January 2026.
Designed to support GCSE and A Level teachers alike, this day will offer a range of workshops to support teachers at every stage of career and give you the chance to network with the community.
Our keynote lecture, ‘Interpreting Ancient Egyptian Art’, will be delivered by Dr Campbell Price, curator for Egypt & Sudan at Manchester Museum.
We have experienced practitioners delivering sessions on topics such as supporting SEND learners, adaptive teaching techniques, and teaching material culture. We’ll also be joined by Prof. Alex Mullen, whose session will focus on Roman Britain, and Prof. Tom Harrison, to hear how the British Museum can support the Ancient History teaching community.
You will also have an opportunity to share your thoughts with the Classical Association on proposals for future period studies at GCSE & A Level and hear from Cambridge OCR about A Level grading.
This event is FREE to attend, and Classics For All are kindly supporting state school teachers with travel bursaries.
You can find the full programme here, and the registration form here.
