Dear all,
Wycombe Abbey is excited to be hosting its inaugural Classics Conference on Tuesday 23 September 2025, and we would like to extend an invitation to your GCSE and A Level Classics pupils. We are thrilled to be hosting five fantastic speakers from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford whose research spans Greek and Latin Literature as well as Classical Art History and Archaeology:
Prof. Llewelyn Morgan (Brasenose College, Oxford)
Dr Rosanna Omitowoju (King’s College, Cambridge)
Dr Gail Trimble (Trinity College, Oxford)
Prof. Caroline Vout (Christ’s College, Cambridge)
Keynote: Prof. Andrew Wallace-Hadrill (Sidney Sussex, Cambridge)
There is a limited number of spaces available for this event, and please note that all pupils must be accompanied by a member of staff from your institution. Attendance will be free of charge and refreshments and lunch will be provided. We also have funding available to subsidise travel costs.

9.30-9.45 am: welcome & instructions for the day
9.45-10.30 am: TALK 1
10.30-11 am: break & refreshments
11-11.45 am: TALK 2
11.45-12.30 pm: TALK 3
12.30-1.30 pm: Lunch
1.30-2.15 pm: TALK 4
2.15-3 pm: KEYNOTE
3-3.30 pm: tea & departure
