An in person day of sessions hosted by King’s College, London, including a session at the British Museum
KCL is delighted to invite Year 12 students to attend a day of talks at the British Museum and King’s College London. Register your interest by reserving a space and you will be emailed an application form.
Outline of the day
Meet at the British Museum (exact meeting place and time will be sent after registration has closed)
Morning session – British Museum: Drs John Pearce and Bobby Xinyue on objects from the Roman collection, contextualised from an archaeological and from a literary perspective.
Lunch and refreshments (KCL, Strand Campus)
Afternoon session 1: 1pm to 2pm: James Corke-Webster: ‘Living on the Edge in Roman Britain’ (ancient history interactive taster)
Afternoon session 2: 2pm to 3pm: Dr Martin Dinter: ‘Tattoos in Antiquity’ (cultural history taster)
