Do you already know some Greek, or perhaps have studied classics and would like to convert that knowledge into something you could use in a modern, living context? Then ‘Adventures in Greek Language’ could be for you! A week-long intensive language course based in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, our aim is to enable learners with some basic (ancient or modern) knowledge of the language towards an ability to genuinely converse with native speakers plus reading and writing skills to match. Led by course tutor, Elissavet Stagoni, we’re also committed to making language-learning – as it should be – a truly fun-laden experience.

‘Adventures in Greek Language’ comes to you auspices of the Greek Project, an exciting new study-tour initiative coming out of the jaws of a horrible economic crisis. Each of our study tours are geared towards people who want some intellectual stimulation as part of their wider enjoyment of going on holiday. With Thessaloniki as our base, classes will be supplemented by guided explorations of the city and its hinterland’s classical, Byzantine, Ottoman and Jewish past, not to say of its fantastic gastronomic delights.
