BMCA Texts and Topics Conference

Sessions will be held on the A Level Latin set texts including Cicero Pro Milone, Tacitus Annals I, Latin Love Elegy and Virgil, Aeneid 8 and 10. There will also be session on a variety of topics on the A Level Classical Civilisation specification, including: Invention of the Barbarian, Love and Relationships, Greek Theatre, Greek Religion and Democracy and the Athenians. There will also be both Greek and Latin Unseen masterclasses, and a plenary on Heroes in the Iliad, the Odyssey and the Aeneid.

The Conference is open to sixth formers from all schools. The Conference fee for students from state schools is £5 each, and £10 each for students from independent schools.

The Conference will start at 8.45am and finish at 1.15pm, and will be held in the Arts Building at the University of Birmingham.

The University of Birmingham is easily accessible by train, and there is plenty of parking available on campus.
