Cambridge University Masterclass in Classics (for Year 12 Students)

A message from Cambridge University,  aimed at teachers of Year 12 Classicists. The Masterclass in Classics is on Saturday 7th February.

Dear Colleague

We are delighted to invite your Year 12 students to attend a Subject Masterclass in 2015.  For the fifth year we are running these aspiration-raising events aimed at Year 12 students.

Subject Masterclasses provide academically-able students with the opportunity to explore subjects they are interested in studying at university and may not have previously experienced.  Each day-long event includes two lectures, an introduction to the admissions process, and the chance to hear about student life from current undergraduate students.  The events run on selected days between February and June 2015.  There is a charge of £10 per student to cover event costs, with free places available to those in receipt of a 16-19 Bursary, Discretionary Learner Support, Looked-after Children, and those from families in receipt of Income Support.

Booking has opened for the first nine Masterclasses and booking information for additional events will be available in late January. Please see the website for more information:
