Classical Association in Northern Ireland lecture: Dr Arlene Holmes-Henderson on ‘amo, amas, amat and all that: New perspectives on Classics education in the 21st century’

Please register via Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link in advance of the talk. ‘amo, amas, amat and all that: New perspectives on Classics education in the 21st century’ In this talk, Dr Holmes-Henderson will share findings from her award-winning research into the value of Classics education for contemporary learners. She will confront the thorny issues of access to Classical languages in schools, teacher supply and the perception of classical subjects in the public domain. There is much to discuss! Arlene will provide examples from her own professional practice as a qualified school teacher, as well as her partnerships with policymakers in Government and Parliament.
