Dido, Queen of Carthage from @LAZARUSTC : Greenwich Theatre

Troy has fallen. Its finest warrior Aeneas seeks sanctuary on the soil of Carthage. A chance encounter with the Queen of the nation sparks one of the greatest love stories of all time and asks, in a world controlled by the Gods, can mere mortal love be enough.

This ravishing and bold new adaptation through the use of text, movement and music shall breathe new life into one of Marlowe’s greatest works. A large ensemble will present both Dido and Lear in rep marking the Lazarus debut at the Greenwich Theatre.
