Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, 4–5pm, Online via Zoom Bringing the wider Ancient world to KS3. This session will offer advice and teaching strategies for bringing Ancient History into the KS3 curriculum, through the Ancient Middle East. Far from rehashing ancient Greek medicine, or risking stepping on the toes of KS2 Rome, including the Assyrians and Achaemenids in KS3 can open a vibrant and engaging world for all students, and give eye-opening comparisons to the modern day through more a representative history. The session will give advice on content and themes, and how these can be successfully woven into a wider curriculum of modern history.
