After a two year hiatus owing to Covid, the 2022 UK round of the International Cicero Competition will be taking place again this year.  In view of the continuing restrictions and challenges faced by schools, the competition will now take place online rather than in individual centres, but as before it will consist of three parts (a team and an individual quiz on a classical civilisation topic) and a Latin translation test.  Schools will be able to complete the three tests in their own time in the week between 26 March and 1 April.  The theme for this year’s competition will be the nature deities, from the pantheon through to strictly localised gods and goddesses. The entry fee for this year’s competition will be £7.50 for each school.  The entry fee will help to fund prizes for the winning teams.
