August 2 – 7, 2021 The JSST Classical Civilisation and Ancient History Summer School offers courses in Greek, Latin, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History to students aged 16-19. Having run for many years at Repton School, the Summer School is relocating to the scenic Mount St Mary’s College near Sheffield.  It offers a 5-night residential camp for students, whether they are currently studying classics or are brand new to the ancient world.  The course includes 6 lessons a day and students can choose classes tailored to their interests, from beginner’s Greek to Roman history.  Other activities include enrichment workshops in lunch times and rehearsals each evening to produce an ancient comedy and an ancient tragedy on the final night.
