There will be a performance by kaloi k’agathoi at St Edward’s School, Cheltenham, of Medea, Wicked with of the East, on Friday 8th March at 7.30 p.m. Commissioned for last year’s Three Choirs event in Hereford, the production features a first act ‘prequel’, which sets the background to the tragedy, making it equally suitable for newcomers to the story and those studying it as a set text. The second half follows Euripides, but is devised by the cast and crew rather than scripted, giving opportunity for audience interaction and didactic improvization as inspired.
Original music composed and played by Liam Dunachie. Tickets are £6, bookings through either Jodie Mallet (Head of Classics, St. Edward’s) on , or Siobhan de Souza (kaloi k’agathoi) on .
