The Classics Department at Francis Holland School will be continuing its annual tradition of holding a day devoted to the AS level Latin set texts on Friday 30th January 2015.
Ingo Gildenhard from Cambridge University and Fiachra MacGóráin from University College, London, who did such splendid job last year, will be coming again this year to enthuse and inform this years’ AS Latinists on Ovid Metamorphoses III and Cicero de Imperio. Each of them will give two lectures on different aspects of the texts and contexts.
The conference will be from 10am till 3pm. Generous refreshments will be provided for morning coffee and in between lectures, but not lunch, which should be taken off -premises. There is a charge of £10 per person to cover costs. A full programme of the day will be advertised as the date approaches.
Reservations will be accepted by e-mail, but only payment will fully secure booking.
