Bedford school run an outreach program called “Virtually University” which aims to connect students to University courses via video conference. In Shrewsbury Sixth Form we have been  partnering with them on a number of projects for a few years now. We have been able to arrange the following conferences with the University of Birmingham in the next month.

28th June Byzantine Art History  at 11.20am for year 10

1st July Mycenaean Greece at 11.20 for year 11-12

Please note that these are FREE and you don’t have to travel because they are video conferences.

You don’t need expensive technical equipment either – just a PC, although they work well through the JANET video conference system too. Ask for further details from myself ,  Sian Squire  Shrewsbury Sixth Form College or Rob Cullis who runs the program at Bedford School
