North London Collegiate School – Classics Symposium Talks 10/11/2016

Classics teacher colleagues and their students in years 10 to 13 are warmly invited to this year’s Classics Symposium talks at North London Collegiate School, beginning at 4.30pm on Thursday 10th November 2016.

Dr Lucy Jackson will be giving a talk on some less well-known Greek and Roman tragedies, perfect enrichment for those who study the Tragedy module as part of Classical Civilisation. This will be followed by Dr Emily Pillinger from King’s College, London. Her talk is entitled ‘Dido: The Death and Afterlife of a Drama Queen’ and is focused on the Aeneid, with a coda on the reception of Dido, particularly in music. The talks will finish at approximately 6.45pm.
