Ovid and his Influence – a Conference for Schools
Tuesday 1st November 2016 at St. Edward’s School, Oxford. Speakers will include Natalie Haynes, Stephen Harrison, Stephen Heyworth, Rebecca Armstrong, Matthew Robinson, Sophie Schoess and John Godwin.

This event is designed both to commemorate and celebrate the life and works of Ovid – with the possible pretext that his death might have occurred 2000 years ago next academic year! All the speakers are excellent and the Conference as a whole will look specifically at the set texts for 2017-18 but also explore the poet’s larger influence on modern culture.
