Summer School at the East Oxford Community Classics Centre, 26 – 28th August

We are delighted to be offering introductory Latin and Ancient Greek language classes and activities this summer at the East Oxford Community Classics Centre. The purpose of the summer school is to provide lively introductions to Latin and Ancient Greek across three days for a range of ages in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The format for each day will be as follows (it is expected that students will choose one class for the duration of the school):

9 – 10.30 – Latin (ages 7 – 10); Latin (ages 11 – 14); Greek (ages 7 – 10); Greek (ages 11 – 14)

10.30 – 11.15 – refreshments and activities

11.15 – 12.45 – Latin (ages 7 – 10); Latin (ages 11 – 14); Greek (ages 7 – 10); Greek (ages 11 – 14)

The classes will be run by experienced teachers and will include activities as well as language learning. There will be activity stalls and refreshments between the morning classes.

If you would like your son/daughter to attend the summer school, you can book to attend by emailing info@irisproject.org.uk and stating which language class he/she would like to join for the duration of the summer school.

The summer school is free of charge.
