Thursday 19 March 2020: The Presidential Lecture
The President of the BMCA, Natalie Haynes, Classicist, author and broadcaster, will be talking about her latest book A Thousand Ships, a retelling of the Trojan War from the women’s perspective.
This promises to be a very interesting and enjoyable talk, and is open to all students studying Classical subjects at GCSE and A level, as well as their teachers! The lecture is free and will start at 5.30pm, lasting around an hour.
The BMCA will also be hosting the Annual texts and Topics Conference – more details to follow shortly!
For any further information about any of our events, to register your interest in the lectures, or to book a place on the Teachers’ Day, please contact either Joanna Johnson (johnsonj@solsch.org.uk) or Polly Stoker (P.Stoker@bham.ac.uk).
Looking forward to seeing lots of you at our events!
