The Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association Teachers’ Day

Saturday 6 February 2016

The Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association would like to invite Classics teachers to attend their annual Teachers’ Day.

As can be seen from the programme below, the day will cover a range of topics, including the new OCR A Level and GCSE specifications, exploring the ways archaeology and material culture can be used to extend and support the teaching of the CLC books, and two sessions with leading academics on the current A2 Latin set texts.

The day will also provide an opportunity for teachers to share good practice, exchange ideas and generally get to know each other a bit better!

The day will start at 9.30am and finish around 3.30pm, and will be held in the Arts Building at the University of Birmingham. The cost for attending the day is £30, including lunch. Payment can be made on the day.

If you would like to reserve a place on the day please email Joanna Johnson at johnsonj@solsch.org.uk by Friday 29 January 2016.
