The Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association The BMCA would like to invite everyone to their events this year. All events take place in the Arts Building at the University of Birmingham. Thursday 21 November 2019: The Autumn Lecture Professor Lloyd Llewellyn Jones (Cardiff) will be speaking on ‘Trouble in the Tehran Multiplex: Iranian Perceptions of the Heroic in the 300 film franchise’. This promises to be a very enjoyable talk, and will be of interest to those studying The Invention of the Barbarian or the Persian Wars. The talk is open to all students studying Classical subjects at GCSE and A level, as well as their teachers! The lecture is free and will start at 5.30pm, lasting around an hour.
