The Birmingham and Midlands Classics Association – Autumn Lecture

The Birmingham and Midlands Classics Association would like to invite you to the Autumn Lecture.
Dr Amy Russell (Durham) will be speaking on ‘Augustus and the Ara Pacis‘ on Thursday 11 October 2018 at 5.30pm. The lecture will be held in the Arts Building at the University of Birmingham.
The lecture is open to everyone, but will be especially relevant for those reading the Aeneid, studying Imperial Image or studying Myth and Religion, and so we are looking forward to seeing lots of GCSE and A Level Classical Civilisation students, as well as lots of Latinists!
To register your interest, please contact either Joanna Johnson at johnsonj@solsch.org.uk, or Polly Stoker at p.stoker@bham.ac.uk.
We also have several forthcoming events:
The New Year Lecture: Dr Hannah Cornwell on violence in the Civil Wars, Thursday 7 February 2019, 5.30pm
The BMCA Teacher’s Day: Saturday 2 February 2019
The Texts and Topics Conference: Saturday 9 March 2019
More information to follow.
Looking forward to seeing you at our events this year!
