I am delighted to announce the Autumn lecture of the Birmingham and Midlands Classical Association:

This event is free, but schools do need to be members of the BMCA. Membership can be paid for on the day: £10 for independent schools, £5 for state schools.

Professor Whitmarsh is A.G. Leventis Professor of Greek Culture at the University of Cambridge. His latest book, Battling the gods: the struggle against religion in ancient Greece and Rome, was published in the UK by Faber and Faber in 2015.
