GCSE Latin Conference, Guildford Classical Association

Guildford Classical Association GCSE Latin Conference on the afternoon of Monday 2nd February 2.00pm – 4.45pm. The event will be held at Lord Wandsworth College near Hook in Hampshire, RG29 1TB.

We are very privileged to have both Professor Llewelyn Morgan and Dr Ed Bispham of Brasenose College Oxford as our speakers this year. Professor Morgan will be speaking on the verse set text of Ovid’s Baucis and Philemon and the Catullus poems. Dr Bispham will be speaking on Tacitus’ Messalina. Tea will be served between the two talks.

There will also be the option of staying for about half an hour after the talks have finished as our speakers have kindly agreed to a Q&A session with our audience on Classics beyond GCSE, Classics at Oxford, and questions on Classics / Latin more generally. I would envisage this finishing by 5.00pm at the latest.

If you would like to attend the GCSE Conference, or part of it, could you please complete the following form by Monday 26th January or email
